After-Work Networking Event

Join the German-American business community to see the work of German artist Carolin Wehrmann at Craighead Green Gallery, one of the finest contemporary art galleries throughout Texas and the Southwest.

Carolin Wehrmann is considered one of the world‘s leading contemporary painters of seascapes and aquatic scenes. The artist has developed the genre of seascapes and the subject of water in an extraordinarily consistent and intense way. With her glazing technique, a result of profound knowledge of the use of pigments, oils and resins, Carolin achieves a fascinating effect of depth in her latest variation of contemporary realism. In the “Reflections” series she succeeds in significantly redefining the water motif. The viewer is led away from the here and now into a realm of deeper meaning and thus beyond the bounds of the painting.

Her works can be found in significant public and private collections as well as superyachts and private planes. Among her most famous customers are Lürssenwerft Company and globally renowned interior architect Terence Disdale, who says "Carolin takes the meaning of beauty & detail to a new level. Her works are undoubtedly the finest I have ever seen.” More on Carolin and her work.

Curator, consultant, and artist Patricia Meadows will speak about the importance of art for businesses and art as an investment. A professional artist until 1981, Ms. Meadows relinquished her studio to help co-found and operate Dallas Visual Art Center, the first non-profit organization in Dallas to focus on educational and exhibition opportunities for Texas artists. She has juried exhibitions throughout Texas and was the Exhibition Director for two shows for the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC. Ms. Meadows served on the Dallas Arts District Management Board of Directors for nine years and the Texas Committee for the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC for more than 15 years. Whilst working for the Craig and Kathryn Hall Collection as curator and collection manager she organized and installed the Texas Sculpture Garden in Frisco, TX and the Texas Sculpture Walk in Dallas, TX.

In 1995, Ms. Meadows started her own art consulting company, Art Connections. She has advised, purchased, and installed artwork for the Ritz Carlton residences, the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank, Jackson Walker law firm, Preston Center East, and numerous private clients.
