Cutting-Edge wind technology -
German Companies at WindPower 2008 Expo

Houston, TX

Hosted by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Houston’s WindPower 2008 Conference and Exhibition is the leading wind event in North America featuring 770 exhibitors and over 10,000 attendees.

The conference as well as the whole industry experienced tremendous growth compared to last year. Since wind energy made in Germany has a long and proud tradition, the companies from overseas are well respected here in the U.S.

Therefore, more than twenty German companies participated in the WindPower 2008, among them tool and turbine manufacturers as well as developers.

The German wind companies took advantage of their presence at WindPower 2008 and introduced their innovative concepts to potential American business partners. The German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern United States (GACC South), Texas Office organized appointments with American companies for three German wind energy developers and suppliers during the exhibition to boost their exhibition success.

The Managing Director of the GACC South, Texas Office, Jan Christoph Wiedemann and the Head of the German American Dialogue on Renewable Energy Network (GADORE), Annette Nuesslein, decided to cooperate even more in the future to strengthen the ties between the German and American renewable energy market.
