GACC South, Your Liaison for State and Local Energy, Water, Sewage, and Waste Policy


As the unofficial capital of the Southeast, Atlanta, with its population of around 5 million, is the pulse of one of the fastest growing regions in the U.S. Environmentally friendly practices and environmental sustainability are on of Mayor Shirley Franklin’s
governing priorities. Initiatives implemented by her include “Keep Atlanta Beautiful” and the “Sustainable Atlanta”. These programs focus on water management (supply, treatment and sewage policy), waste management (waste reduction and recycling), and green building (energy efficient construction and solar heating) and will form the main focus of your visit here.

The attendance cost of $3125 includes five one-on-one meetings as
well as receptions on October 6 and 7. Travel costs are not
included.
