The GACC South NC Chapter is proud to host a German-American Business Dialogue together with GOM Americas Inc. and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The event will consist of a tour through several highly technological facilities including GOM's manufacturing facilities, the Center for Precision Metrology (CPM), the NC Motorsports and Automotive Research Center, and the Energy Production & Infrastructure Center (EPIC) followed by a reception in the PORTAL Atrium.

GOM is a global manufacturer that develops, produces and distributes machines, software and systems for industrial and automated 3D coordinate measuring technology and 3D testing.

The Center for Precision Metrology (CPM) is an interdisciplinary association of UNC Charlotte faculty and student researchers, allied with industrial partners in the research, development and integration of precision metrology as applied to manufacturing.

The North Carolina Motorsports and Automotive Research Center is a 16,500 square-foot Motorsports Research Building. Research equipment includes a water tunnel, wind tunnel, alternative propulsion dynamometer test cell, and computational labs. The Center attracts students from throughout the country and the world, performing research for top racing teams and automotive companies, and placing graduates on almost every NASCAR team.

The Energy Production & Infrastructure Center (EPIC)  serves as a state-of-the-art research center that provides education and applied research opportunities to students with energy related interests. Industry-education partnerships unite students, faculty and industrial partners to collaborate on interdisciplinary research and learning.
