The GACC South supports solution-driven, German-style apprenticeship programs such as the Georgia Consortium for Advanced Technical Training (GA CATT), an affiliate of the ICATT Apprenticeship Program. This program attracts more young people to manufacturing and other high-tech careers and creates significantly higher and longer retention rates with each company as a result of the closer company contact. Certified according to German DIHK standards, programs are also embedded in the system of the US Department of Labor.
