Internships at GACC South

Gain international experience – help shape German-American business

GACC South offers internships for motivated students and graduates from various fields (e.g. business, engineering, marketing, event management). More important than your major is your interest in project work and your enthusiasm for working with SMEs in an international setting.

 

You’ll work independently within a specific department and take on diverse tasks such as market research, event planning, client communication, or writing. Participation in chamber events and insights into our day-to-day operations are included.

General Information

Requirements

  • Excellent command of German and English
  • Strong research, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and online research
  • Self-initiative and interest in transatlantic business topics

Key Info

  • Duration: min. 9 months with J1 visa, 6 months without – up to 12 months preferred
  • Compensation: All internships are paid
  • Visa: Support provided for the J1 application
  • Start: U.S. citizens may also apply for summer or post-graduation internships

Housing & Transportation

Interns are responsible for finding housing (approx. $800–1000/month in Atlanta). A car is strongly recommended due to limited public transportation. Current interns are happy to assist with tips and guidance.
