Experience Germany’s innovation hubs for clean technologies firsthand. The CleanTech Ambassador Trip offers a unique, curated program for professionals from academia, industry, and the public sector to exchange knowledge, build international partnerships, and explore cutting-edge solutions for a sustainable future.

Who should apply?

1. Academia (3 participants)

  • Expertise in clean technology, energy, environmental, or sustainability-related fields
  • Experience in research and international collaboration
  • Ability to share and apply knowledge within their institution
  • Examples: Professor of Energy Engineering, Postdoctoral Researcher in Clean Technology, Project Lead for an International Research Initiative

2. Private Sector / Startups (3 participants)

  • Executive, founder, or specialist in the clean technology sector
  • Experience in technology development, implementation, or commercialization
  • Interest in international networking and collaboration
  • Examples: CTO of a CleanTech start-up, Business Development Manager in the CleanTech sector, Innovation Manager in the energy industry

3. Public Sector (3 participants)

  • Representatives from government agencies, ministries, economic development organizations, or energy and technology institutions
  • Strategic interest in clean technology and policy development
  • Experience in international cooperation
  • Examples: Advisor in Energy and Innovation Policy, Representative of an Energy Agency, Diplomat focused on Technology and Sustainability

4. Open Slot (1 participant)

  • Representative from a non-profit organization, media outlet, educational institution, or international partner organization
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated interest in clean technology topics
  • Ability to contribute to knowledge-sharing and outreach efforts following the program
