Each fall, the Carolinas Chapters of GACC South shine a spotlight on companies, organizations, and individuals who build bridges between continents and help shape the future. The Carolinas Gateway Awards recognize outstanding contributions to German-American business through investment, job creation, and a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and community.

From the automotive and manufacturing hubs of the Upstate to the innovation centers in Charlotte and the Research Triangle, the Carolinas are a driving force in transatlantic business. Past recipients include ZF Transmissions Gray Court, Kühne + Nagel, BMW Manufacturing, Huber Technology, Mercedes-Benz Vans, and MANN+HUMMEL.

💡A new Tradition

Starting in 2025, the previous North and South Carolina award ceremonies will be combined into a single, exclusive black-tie gala. The inaugural event will take place aboard the USS Yorktown in Charleston, SC. Going forward, the event will alternate annually between North and South Carolina, serving as a platform for networking, collaboration, and celebrating shared values.

Despite the unified format, two companies will continue to be honored each year—one from North Carolina and one from South Carolina.
