Some events allow us to talk about industry. Others allow us to step inside it.
Earlier this month, GACC South members had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at TALKE USA’s Baytown facility, gaining firsthand insight into the people, processes, and operations that support one of the leading logistics providers serving the chemical and petrochemical industries.
Throughout the visit, attendees experienced a company culture shaped by safety, precision, innovation, and operational excellence. From facility operations to leadership insights, the program offered a closer look at the complex coordination required to safely and efficiently support critical chemical supply chains.
TALKE, a family-owned logistics provider founded in Germany in 1947, has continued to expand its presence in the United States since entering the market just over a decade ago. Today, TALKE USA operates a growing logistics network across the Gulf Coast, providing in-plant services for major chemical manufacturers and investing in infrastructure that supports long-term industry growth.
A key theme throughout the visit was TALKE’s investment in its people. The strength of the organization was reflected not only in its operations, but also in its leadership culture, team engagement, and commitment to creating opportunities for growth and development.
The facility tour provided a rare look into how strategy is translated into execution, while leadership presentations offered valuable perspectives on the trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the future of the logistics sector.
Events like Behind the Scenes create meaningful opportunities for GACC South members to learn directly from industry leaders, build connections, and gain a deeper understanding of the companies driving growth, resilience, and innovation across the Southern United States.
GACC South extends its thanks to Alexander Böhm, Richard Heath, Alyssa Villareal, and the entire TALKE USA team for welcoming our members and sharing their expertise, insights, and hospitality.
