How does the program work?

GACC South coordinates the GA CATT training program in close cooperation with regional business clusters. We support participating companies in:

• Recruiting motivated students
• Developing individual, company-specific training plans
• Conducting “train the trainer” courses
• Organizing and administering exams and certifications
   

GA CATT companies select and employ their trainees directly – the students become part of the company from day one. During their practical training, trainees receive an hourly wage and their associate degree tuition fees are covered in full.

The process is clearly structured:
Trainees attend school two days a week and complete their in-company training at the company on the other three days. In addition to high school and college-level classes, they earn nationally and internationally recognized industry certificates – the ideal springboard for a career with a future.
