Our CleanTech Program connects industry, research, startups, and the public sector to advance transatlantic exchange on clean technologies. Through expert-led Masterclasses and interactive Innovation Circles, the program shares practical knowledge, highlights scalable solutions, and shows how participants can actively contribute to the energy transition. Sessions are hosted online to enable broad participation and bring together partners from Germany and the U.S. Southeast.
This Masterclass session explores how community microgrids can strengthen energy resilience and local independence. Participants will learn what makes microgrids work in practice, how communities can get involved, and which business models and partnerships help projects move from idea to implementation.
This session is ideal for energy professionals, utility stakeholders, researchers, technology developers, and policymakers seeking a deeper understanding of emerging microgrid capabilities.
