From a local haulage contractor, DSV expanded from the mid-1980s into broader domestic and international transport and logistics services. Major acquisitions — including DFDS Dan Transport Group, Frans Maas, ABX LOGISTICS, UTi Worldwide, Panalpina and Agility's GIL business — built DSV into a global freight forwarder. In 2025, DSV acquired Schenker from Deutsche Bahn in the largest transaction in company history, doubling in size to become a global industry leader.
